Getting to know different cultures is one of the best parts of wedding photography. Getting to shoot Hajira & Faiz's Nikah in Bangalore - The Leela Palace, Bangalore and Teh Taj West End, Bangalore - was one such beautiful experience.
On the day of the wedding, there was some protest going on in Bangalore and our hotel was right in the centre of it. Me and my team always reach the venue much ahead of time. To do that, we decided to leave 3 hours before our scheduled time. Walking through the protest with our equipment was some experience!
Like always we started talking to the bride (and cracking jokes on ourselves) while taking the getting ready shots!
We then headed to Faiz's room for the sehra tying pictures and got to know his friends, too, there!
With that we took some quick pictures of the couple together as they had to rush to the wedding hall.
And then, a few pictures while they were heading to the venue...
And then began the rituals...
Like always, right after the rituals, emotions run high!
When it comes to traditional pictures, (that the parents and grandparents want for sure!) couples usually shy away. But we do have a few tricks up our sleeves and make it a fun thing!
During the family pictures, we took pictures of few of the largest families we have seen at a wedding.
The vidai at around midnight was just as beautiful and heart-warming as the rest of the day!
